Hello, I am currently replacing my stock radio on my SUV listed above (old body style) with an aftermarket one . I bought an adapter for the factory plug and wired it up and the radio gets power and turns on but I’m not getting any sound from the speakers. The radio shows that it’s playing music. I’ve run out of options that I could think of . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Check the pin locations on the connector that you purchased. I also bought one of these seem less connectors that go in between the factory connector and the aftermarket stereo connector so no wire splicing is needed and could not for two days figure out the same thing, why my stereo would turn on and no sound would come from the speakers. After all I paid $75.00 for mine. Then I looked at the connector I had bought and half of the pins did not match up. I simply took it back and spliced the wires together with butt connectors and the aftermarket stereo worked like a champ. Please get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex
