when pumping gas, the gas tank keeps shutting off and i have only pumped 1/2 gallon of gas. takes forever to fill up. any ideas as to what is wrong and what needs to be fixed?

For fuel to enter the tank, air must escap. To escape, a vent is placed on the tank. Check under the vehicle for a smaller tube running along the filler tube. Make sure it isn't damaged.
