does that have overdrive? that can account for the better mileage on highway. do you think your trans is slipping in lower gears at all? lots of miles there!

Have a code indicating bad rear 02 sensor but half the mechanics say will not give bad mileage and other half say it will

Just to add to this one you put 2000 saturn SL2 V6 3.5L engine.That never happened the Saturn SL2 would have came with a 1.9L 16 valve dual over head cam engine.So lets start with a what car you have etc?

Sorry I reversed s&l it is a 2000 ls2 and the problem is bad gas mileage, with a code saying the rear O2 sensor is bad ,but some peopls say it will not give me bad mileage

Alright so you have the 3.0L engine a bad o2 can effect gas mileage it tells the computer how the engine is running rich lean etc.The rear o2 sensor also tells the computer how the cat is working.If you know the o2 sensor is bad i would change it.So.what kimd of mileage are you getting?

I am getting roughly 325 miles on the highway and about 160 in the city

How about miles per gallon you fill the tank up till the pump shuts off then reset the trip odometer.Then drive it down to atleast a 1/4 of a tank then fill it up till the pump shuts off.Then divide the miles driven on the trip odometer verus the gallons used.
