car runs rough when engine cold but runs o.k when warm

when car is started after sitting for long enough for the engine to go cold it coughs and sputters and occasionaly stalls until warmed up then it runs o.k

1.Defective spark plugs

2.Inadequate spark/coil,defective spark plug wire.

3.Lack of compression

4.False air leakage.
