Hey, my 2000 sunfire 2.2l wont start i figured it was the fuel pump the batterys good and i just replaced the starter. So i listened for the pump and i can hear it running when i turned the key, when i took off the fuel filter there was no fuel pumped when i cycled the key. I checked the relays, fuses, rotor and cap, etc. i went to install the pump and unpluged connections to the C313 connector and i noticed the evap vent solenoid connections wires going to the powertrain control module had ripped apart would that cause my car not to start? Im scepticle because i hear the pump run snd im not sure what this evap vent does. Im a college student and really dont have the money to put in a 300$ pump i dont need! Thanks:)

You have enough fuel in the tank? fuel pick up may be blocked, crushed delivery pipe, pump motor may be working but actual pump failed, you need to check all these.
