the car tilt level (the one that let the stering wheel move up or down ) got disengaged by mistake. how can i make it engage correctly in the column?

I WAS TRYING TO TAKE THE LEVEL OFF TO BE ABLE TO WORK ON THE SWITCH OF IGNITION , I FORCED IT AN NOW IT JUST MOVES BUT WITHOUT MOVING THE STERING WHEEL.

you most likely broke the lock piece with the spring. you may need another column

NOW HOWCAN I GET IT BACK IN PLACE, SO I CAN LOWER THE STEIERING WHEEL (IT GOT STUCK IN THE HIGHER POSITION....)

YES I SEE THE SPRING. AND IN TOP IS ANOTHER PIECE WITH LIKE CURVED DENTATIONS (LIKE WHERE THE LEVEL WILL SIT. DONT KNOW HOW TO INCLUDE A PICTURE HERE IN THIS LIKE CHAT THING
