i have a 2000 grand prix gtp s/c. I just did an engine swap but can't find where one wire goes. It's on the harness with the oil filter holder and it's a single plug but can't seem to find where it goes.

What is the colour code on the wire, it may have a solid colour and a thin trace colour.

It is a dark color and what looks to be a solid color at that. Also would this one plug stop the car from starting. The engine cranks but it won't start. The gas is really old in the car because it has been sitting for quite some time and I heard that if the gas is too old that it may not start the car?

depending on what the wire feeds, does it have 12V at it? if it has no voltage, earth it out and check the dash gauges, see if the Temp or oil gauge alter.
