the security light blinks constantly

Hi, I just had my ignition changed because the key would get stuck and drain the battery in my 2000 grand prix. Now the security light blinks constantly when key is on. Do you have any ideas what I should do? Thank you

Key is still getting stuck in the ignition sometimes, but the security light keeps blinking.

most cases, the key gets stuck because the shifter is not all the way in park position completely.

the password has to be relearned since you change the key. that can be done through a scan tool or by you.

turn the key to start and let it return to the on position. leave it there for about 10 minutes or till the security light goes out. do this 3 times and the key will learn the password and it should start.
