Front Driver side door door problem

I bought this Pontiac recently, the driver side door not opening fronm ouside even though the all door unlocks through key. Other doors i am able to open through outisde lever. But the front driver side Door unlock lever in outside of the door is not working. but through the lever inside the front door, i am able to open the door. what could be the problem? can any one help me on this door issue
