Hi there

Since the cold spell we had back in November, when the drivers door lock froze on my Peugeot Partner van and I couldn't open it. I have had problems with it, it opens with the key but will not lock with the key. I have to lock it via the passenger door (its not central locking). Today I have taken all the door panel off and catch mechanism out, I put the key in and tried to turn it both ways and no joy, then I noticed 2 metal bars coming down I pulled on one of them and bingo the keys moved both ways and even locked after I put all the mechanism back together. Then after just one turn to lock it and open it, it wouldn't lock again, I think this metal bar is sticking or catching on something. Is there anything I can do ti fix it, what if I take out the key bit, lock and try to clean it and re grease it.
I appreciate any advice or help you can offer me
Regards
Paul

Sounds like there might be an issue with the key and tumblers. I would get some graphite powder and blow it into the lock to lubricate it. No grease inside the lock..
