My car cut out while driving home a short distance.l begun to move off after stopping at traffic light and the car started making loud noises clutch was spongy and just didn't start after retrying.
Clutch and gear box seem as normal now while engine turned off. Timing belt is intact and moves freely.
Can you give me any idea what may be wrong.
