My 2000 olds silhouette has been running rough. I especially notice it when running idle in any gear. When I turn on the air it excentuates it even more. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and pvc not too long ago. Any suggestions what this could be? I have never had any plugs changed. Someone suggested it could be an issue with the transmission? I had a new one put in about 4 yrs. Ago. Please advise? Thanks

Can you tell me what the engine idle speed is when this happens?

The idle is right around 800-900 rpm.

that is where it should be. To be honest, I would remove the plugs and check their condition. It may just need a tune up. If you need directions, let me know.

Here are the directions for replacing the spark plugs.

I have also added how to check for engine vacuum leaks. A vacuum leak can cause the engine to run rough.
