How to make brake warning light go off and make cruise work

So the brake light was not on before you replaced the calipers? You should not have to reset the brake light. did you make sure the brake fluid level was not low?

fluid is good and brakes working properly. just light on and cruise still is not working.

yes it is the brake not ABS.

I posted the description of the brake warning light for you. It is turned on by low brake fluid or e-brake on. So if the e-brake is released and brake fluid is not low you could have a switch issue.

but what would make cruise stop working from the brake system? Is there a way to reset brake light is brake fluid if it is not low?

Not sure about the cruise control not working. you would have to diagnose that separate. When the fluid level is full the light should turn off. i suspect the float in the master cylinder is sticking since you said this happened after you replaced the calipers.

I agree with Saturntech9. Try rapping on the side of the brake fluid reservoir with a screwdriver handle and see if it puts the light out.

Yeah, the PCM will inhibit the cruise as long as the brake light is on.
