how much a heater problem repair cost?My car shows service engine light and when I started heater it showed smoke

If there is smoke from the heater, chances are you have a bad heater core and that is steam. The part is around 100.00 but labor is aprox 4 hours. NOTE: If the check engine light is on, make sure there is coolant in the system.
