Good morning.

The fuel filter is along the left frame rail and it has a shield in front the filter that has to be removed. It has four small bolts.

Make sure you bleed off the fuel pressure carefully.

CAUTION:
Tighten high-pressure rubber hose clamp so that clamp end is 3 mm (0.12 in) from hose end.
Tightening torque specifications are the same for all rubber hose clamps.
Ensure that screw does not contact adjacent parts.

WARNING: Before removing fuel filter, release fuel pressure from fuel line.

WITH CONSULT - II
1. Start engine.
2. Perform "FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE" in "WORK SUP-PORT" mode to release fuel pressure to zero.
3. After engine stalls, crank engine two or three times to make sure that fuel pressure is released.
4. Turn ignition switch "OFF".

5. Remove the fuel filter shield.
6. Loosen fuel hose clamps.
7. Replace fuel filter.
- Be careful not to spill fuel over engine compartment. Place a shop towel to absorb fuel.
- Use a high-pressure type fuel filter. Do not use a synthetic resinous fuel filter.
- When tightening fuel hose clamps, refer to "Checking Fuel Lines".

I am trying to locate and hook up my fuel pressure tester but do not see a shrader valve for hooking up the fuel pressure tester. Where do I hook up the fuel pressure tester? Only thing I see is the coupling from the frame hard line to the flexible hose to the rail. I do not see a test port. After hooking up the pressure tester I would like to know the procedures and specs specific to the truck listed above for testing the fuel pressure.

Good morning.

I answered your other question and will continue here.

There is no test port for checking the fuel pressure. You will need to test it at the fuel filter. Remove the outlet hose from the filter and attach it to your gauge. if you want to run the engine, then you will need a T fitting to attach it.

With Regulator Vacuum Hose Connected 235 kPa (34 psi)
With Regulator Vacuum Hose Disconnected 294 kPa (43 psi)

Let us know if you have any follow up questions.
