My check engine light had been on for quite some time now, I had the code pulled when it first came on and it indicated that I needed to replace the air idle control. I just got around to replacing it myself this last weekend. After replacing everything I had taken off to get at the air idle, I started the car and began to notice the idle is much higher than what it was and as a result pulls very hard as I am driving at low speeds such as through a neighborhood or parking lot. I have looked into it a bit online to try and find a resolution to this issue. The best I could learn and find is that I need to do a air idle volume relearning procedure, or adjust the idle speed adjusting screw. I've been having difficulties finding specific instructions for my cars year and model and thought it would be quicker and more accurate to actually speak with someone about my specific problem. Do I need to do one of these two things or both, or is there something else all together? I have a basic working knowledge of what I'm doing, but am lost when it comes to troubleshooting like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
