replace a fuel pump?

Hi when you replace a fuel pump for a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant 3L engine Do you drop the gas tank if it is located under the back passenger seat

Im replacing the fuel pump and I purchased this car at an auction not sure if I need to drop the tank because of its location
