Suspect a broken belt in a tire. Look for a tumor on the tire's tread. Be very careful if you have the urge to run your hand over it. Most of the time the ends of wire from the steel belts will be sticking out, and they really smart when you get poked by one. Have the tires inspected at a tire and alignment shop.
