dashboard indicators show battery and brake light. brake indicator light dims but stays on when i jiggle the emergency brake. Not sure if there is a correlation.

Start by checking the charging system and battery. Most parts stores will do it for free. If all is good, check the park brake switch for problems. As far as the reverse lights, either the switch (on trans) is bad or there is a ground to power. At this point, I can't say for sure, but I don't see how they are related.

well... I ended up just unplugging the reverse switch; seemed like a quick fix for a car I don't plan on keeping too long. The auto shop checked the battery and said it was good, but the indicator light is still on. The brake indicator light won't go away either. I removed the middle console and checked the sensor going to the parking brake but it's secure and the light doesn't go away even when I unplug it? Next steps?
