How do i replace my fuel filter?

I'm trying to replace my fuel filter. And i have alredy unscrewed the black ring holding my fuel pump assembly but i cant get it off to get to my fuel filter. How do i get the black ring off?

You need to disconnect the fuel hoses and take the complete ring out. After that you pull the fuel pump housing assy out. When installing ensure the sealing ring is seated well before you attampet to install the locking ring.
