While driving yesterday I got the truck up to 90mph and had transmission fluid come up on the back glass so I pulled over and had fluid leaking on the passenger side just behind the door. Let the truck cool down and was able to drive it home with no problems which was about 45 miles. What could have caused this and way did it stop leaking a by itself ?

It sounds like the transmission may have overheated. You might want to take a hard look at the cooler.

Where did the transmission fluid come from when it overheated and was that bad on the transmission ? Thank you for taking my question.

Overheated fluid will bubble up and spill out the vent and yes, that will damage the transmission. You need to get that checked.
