car issue

have grand marqis and the traction light keeps going on,car shakes and then temp light goes up and down then shuts off

I am also having same issues---- My search has lead me to spark plug, boot, and or coil problems --First see if the car computer has any codes stored in it-like the engine (missfiring)--That will tell you which cylinder has a problem and/ or spark plug/ or coil pack --Your local parts store has a code machine that could help!! you with the codes .
