car starts when i put my foot on the gas it splutters sometimes it will pick up and pull on then back to the spluttering i have put on a new petrol filter which made no difference any ideas please it sounds like fuel mixture but just a guess

It sounds like you may have a weak fuel pump. Check fuel pump pressure first. There are directions and a video on our homepage under the DIY section.

Hi had fuel pressure checked it is fine got the car in a Mercedes garage and they just rang me to say its got them puzzled and can I leave the car with them
