Hi Clutch not engaging my husband filled resevoir. Mechanic said slave cylinder was bad. Said we have to remove the transmission to replace slave and should do the clutch at same time. Is that true? Thanks Terri

Depending on the condition of the clutch 80, 000mils is not the end of the life of the clutch but while the box is out if you replace it, it should be trouble free for many years, really a matter of if you can afford to, not so much should you have to, if it way me i think i would fit a new clutch.
