yes it can but it could be a piston/ring problem as well.

The plug i remover was wet with gas, the car uses no oil at all. the code reader said number 4 isn't firing, replaced coil pack and now it firing, but still missing, but not as much. was thinking maybe burnt vale, compression is 70lbs on the cylinder, the engine doesn't blow any kind of smoke at all out of the exhaust pipes.im still leaning to the vale , whats you thoughts on that, thanks David.

well unless you have a camera small enought to put int he spark plug hole to see if there is any piston damage then you'll have to pull the head to find out. But if it's a burnt valve then it has to come off anyhow.
