why am i hearing this sound while driving?

hi. i just changed my rear break pads.i did not rotate the caliper pistons clock wise while compressing them.i have a slight scraping sound now.can i start over and rotate the pistons properly? break dust shield isnt touching rotors and i dont know what else would be causing this metal on metal sound. thank you

If you shoe-horned the new pads in, there's no need to turn the pistons. Did you have the rotors machined? There is likely a ring of rust buildup and the new linings are a fuzz offset compared to the old ones and they're riding on that rust. That will wear off in short order.
