Information center says turn signal is on?

My turn signals all work fine. Some times when I am driving down the road my Jeep will chime and my information center that is overhead will say "Turn Signal On" when it is not on. It is supposed to do this when you have forgotten and left your turn signal on for a long period of time. But every time it does this and I check the turn signal is not on. What is causing this? It is very annoying!
