2000 Hyundai Trajet squeals on start up

Hi all, I am hoping you guys can help me, bought a trajet recently and when you start it it squeals but it goes away, the other day it started screaming so had a look and the alternator belt looked like it needed changing so changed the alternator belt and the power steering belt, it still squeals on start up, any help would be fantastic, I am a competent DIY mechanic so am able to do any work needed, just need to get this sorted as mrs is giving me earache as it's her car!

if you replaced the belt then the tensioner shold have been replaced at same time. try that recommended is 60k for both

yes we don't have that model here in U.S. only a sonata and it has either amanual adjuster or the auto tensioner. if yo have the manual adjuster ajust it to 22 ft lbsof pressure or 10kg

it won't help much but you candownload pics her but they don't always turn out besides here in U.S. the engines are larger so it may not be the same set up. but send it if you like the pic I'm sending is of the manual adjustment. if you have a belt tension gauge that is the best setup

that is a manual belt tensioner, so adjust to 10kg or with a belt tension gauge. once you put a belt on you have to run it for a minute before adjusting it correctly or checking it again

ya it looks to be all there loosedn the bolt at long arrow an dvery short arrow loosen the other bolt that holds alternator an dtighten bolt on other short arrow.

Wow just tightened it up and........ No more squealing!!! Mrs happy looks like I'm on a promise tonight!!!! Thank you so much! Now just need to sort the hesitation when accelerating ticks over fine on idle but when you put your foot down when driving it hesitates

clean the throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner if still doing it check fuel pressure with a gauge.
