The clutch in my car is near the end of its life, I plan on replacing it very soon. I have a some experience with transmissions, but not so much on manual transmissions. Compared to an automatic, this job looks fairly easy. But as I continued with some research, I had found that people were facing a problem with removal of the transmission. Apparently, the throwout (or release) bearing is locked into the pressure plate fingers prohibiting the removal of the transmission. I was needing to know the steps to get past this, to ensure removal of the transmission will go smoothly without interruption. Also, is there a specific procedure for replacing these parts and re-assembly? Anything else I should take note of?
