Vehicle was having intermittent check engine light, when CE light came on the headlights and dash lights would flicker and dim, turn signals increasingly blinked slower and engine idle reduced.
Car battery became completely drained. Replaced with new battery and new alternator, drove about 15 minutes and the check engine light came on and the car eventually stalled again due to a drained battery.
Checked all fuses, battery connections etc...
I'm not sure where to investigate further and was hoping for suggestions...thanks in advance

Were you able to retrieve any trouble codes?

No, I will try that now if the battery allows it.

This vehicle does not have the key option for pulling codes, I will need to get a code reader from an auto store to move forward... :(

Have the charging system tested again. Ensure the replacement alternator is good. Check for loose ground circuits and ensure the main connection between the battery and alternator is good.

Thanks for the response KHLow2008, the replacement alternator was returned and tested good, got another one from the same Irish supplier that also tested good. After installing #2 the check engine light cleared and its running fine now for 10 days.
Special note:
*After a lot of searching on the net I found that these vehicles have issues with alternator replacements, some run fine for 5 minutes or 15 in my case and then they stop working. I read where one was fixed finally after the 4th alternator. Most were fixed on the 2nd replacement....go figure.
