Problem with Sierra Tow/Haul mode

I have a 2000 GMC sierra. I press the Tow/ Haul button. The light doesn't go on and the truck doesn't seem to be in tow/haul mode

Very common for the little wires to break that run up to the shifter to the tow haul button, they usaully break right below shifter, take the steering cover shroud off and take a look, if broken you can solder them back together.

agreed very common problem I had the exact same problem in my 2000 sierra ext cab , and i just re-routed them into a toggle switch that i had mounted in the faceplate by the airbag key switch works perfect ever since that would be the best thing i can tell you to do
