I read the instructions below on one of your threads about the DDM. Excellent article! Outstanding troubleshooting steps! It's my exact problem.

I'm getting ready to replace my DDM.
1. Should I disconnect hte battery before I hook up hte new DDM? and,
2. When performing the steps below, since I have the auto headlight ON feature, should I turn this OFF? i.e. keep the headlights are OFF?

"To reprogram the remotes was a snap. Here's the procedure.
WHILE INSIDE THE CAR, WITH THE DOORS CLOSED,
TURN THE IGNITION FROM OFF TO ON, 4-TIMES (WITHIN 3-SECONDS), THE LOCKS SHOULD CYCLE.
DEPRESS ANY BUTTON ON AS MANY AS FOUR REMOTES (LOCKS CYCLED TO CONFIRM).
RETURN IGNITION TO OFF POSITION. YOU'RE DONE."

Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I think you confirmed the re-program procedure that I quoted from a past article but I didn't see an answer to my 2 questions.

I'm getting ready to replace my DDM.
1. Should I disconnect the battery before I hook up the new DDM? and,
2. When performing the steps, since I have the auto headlight ON feature, should I turn this OFF? i.e. keep the headlights are OFF?

Thanks again,
JG

I would disconnect the battery, yes. The instructions don't say anything about the headlights.
