I am replacing the brake master cylinder?

2000 intrepid- I am replacing the master cylinder and have removed the brake lines, two bolts attaching to the firewall, and the fitting that connents the rod to the brake pedal. The master will not budge, no matter how i pull or twist or yank it just wont budge. What am I missing. thanks exasperated

It should be able to come out

REMOVE


Disconnect brake fluid level sensor wire connector on the side of the master cylinder reservoir.
Disconnect primary and secondary brake tubes from master cylinder housing. Install plugs at brake tube outlets.










Remove the 2 nuts attaching the master cylinder to the vacuum booster.
Slide master cylinder straight out from the vacuum booster.

Make sure the nuts that you removed weren't just holding a bracket on with 2 more nuts below them.

I removed the two nuts that hold the master cylinder in place, and it will not come out. Help?
