1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering column cover retaining screws. Remove cable from parking brake release handle. Remove screws holding steering column shrouds. Remove
lower steering column shroud.
2. With ignition switch in RUN position, depress retaining tab. See Fig. 9 . Remove lock cylinder. Using No. 10 Torx bit, remove ignition switch mounting screw. Depress retaining tab, and gently
pry switch from steering column. See Fig. 10 . Disconnect electrical connectors.
Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure ignition switch and actuator shaft in lock housing are in RUN position. Lock cylinder retaining tab will depress only in RUN position. Check for proper
operation of ignition switch in all positions. Check for proper operation of key-in warning switch.
