2000 Chrysler Van Voyager cuts out while driving.

Approximately 10 days ago I went to start my car and it would not start right away. It finally started after several tries so I had the battery check out which was fine. After that it began starting to cut out when driving if I slowed down or came to a stop but not all the time. I find that when I restart the car I have to press on the gas pedal to give it gas before I can take the car out of park and begin driving but that does not always fix the problem because when I come to a stop it may cut out again. I recently had the fuel filter replaced and had the fuel pump replaced a few years ago. Any suggestions???

I suspect by "cutting out" you mean it's idling too low to stay running. If the engine stalls while you're driving, that's a different story. If anything was done to the battery, like remove the cables to clean them, the Engine Computer will lose its memory and the low-idle problem will occur. The computer has to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it has to be in control of idle speed. Until then, you'll have to hold the accelerator pedal down 1/4" to get the engine to start and stay running, and it will tend to stall at stop signs.

To meet the conditions for the relearn to take place, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the pedals.
