just get a replacement axle shaft, it has new joints and alot easier to do. not much more exspensive than buying the joint. you have to take the nut off the axle then tire, disconnect lower ball joint, hi tendn of axle to break loose from weel bearing, pull strut out of way and remove axle form wheel bearing, and pry out from transmission. reverse for install.
