The car starts idles up to 3000rpm then goes down 2500rpm in park. Goes normal when in gear but the car goes without pushing the pedal up 25 mph. Happened after putting a new distributor.. Could it be a sensor?

It sounds like the timing may be too far advanced. Have you double checked that? As far as sensors, the idle air control valve controls the idle, but since it wasn't a problem prior to the distributor, that is where I would check.

You need a timing light and turn the distributor to set it.

It will be bolted at the base of it to keep it stationary.

It's self timed with the crank sensor would that be the problem or the air control valve. Yeah the car jus goes man up to 45 mph on flat land..
