2000 Chevrolet Venture short to ground

get a circuit breaker to fit there like a 20 or 30 amp then start unplugging stuff that is blowing. if it still blows it amy be awire then start to look sometimes a compass helps as it will go screwy when you find the short.

Thanks Hmac300 so I will do that. I found that the radio plug was caught between the dash and the lower bracket so I got it were it is supposed to go and as for now neither fuse has blown. So far!! Now this all started when I didn't realize that I needed to get my new ignition lock cylinder key coded to the old key. I have had no fuel pump and no injectors since I changed that part. So now I reinstalled the old key and tumbler and it turns over but no fuel. No security light and no other issues as of yet so its making me think the old cylinder is bad and the new one needs to be coded .

I did that relearn and the lights out but im without fuel pump pressure. I have tested the pump with direct power and it runs great but hook it up and it wont turn on. I have changed the pump relay and there is no blown fuses and I tested the plug and wires with power and I get the light but still no pump?

it may be a bad connection in the fuse box try moving the prongs around a little to see if it will work that way.add dielectric compound to the prongs. see if the dark/green white wire is giving a signal to the relay if it 's not the pcm may have a bad connection or the connection at relay is bad. also check your injector an dign and ecm fuses underhood.

Ok I will do that and get back to u thanks for your help and guidance sometimes it gets difficult to get everything in perspective when u have been racking your brain on the cluster of problems that have come with this 2000 venture ever since she bought it. I appreciate it Hmac300
