clunking noises. rolling when in park and wont go in reverse. Kinda sound like when a bike is upside down and wheels are spinning that kinda noise.

signs the transfer case or u-joint needs repaired?

you have transmission issues from your description. if the cable was bad, you would have reverse even if it did not go into park.
something may have come apart in the valve body.
in a worse case senario, the transfer case could be an issue but the vehicle would go no where anytime. does the car move at all??
