Chev 5.3l Oil Pan leak

2000 Chev Suburban 1500LS oil leak. dealer states oil plan warpage causing leak, replacing gasket only may not fix. Shouldn't oil pan be checed when removed vs auto replace? $600!

They should check it when they remove it with a straight edge before replacing it.If you need a oil pan i would shop around dorman make's 600 is a lot to spend on a oil pan.
