my 00 silverado 2500 ls rpms jump about 200-500 after 50 mph but its not my transmission

how do you know it is not the trans?? the torque converter licks in around there and changes the rpm the amount you have said.

otherwise, did it have a code??

because it doesnt feel like the transmission is pulling it feels like its coming from the engine. were do i get a code from, my check egine light is on
