i have a 2000 s10 prev replaced master cylinder for bypass problem bled system manually & with scan tool brakes were fine for several days replaced master cylinder again had good pedal by only bench bleeding put vehicle in reverse and brakes work pumping the pedal.
Brake pedal only has excessive travel in after backing up then pulling into gear after pedal is pumped up brake pedal is fine.
