I bought a 2000 chevy s10 blew the heads twice so i bought a brand new 2000 create motor from chevy. Gave the dealership my vin # i put the new motor in. replaced almost everything except the starter and altenator.went to install my alenator it wont fit. the front plate that covers the timing chain is different than the one on my old 2.2 4 cyl with the vin# shouldnt i have been the same engine. ? what are my options there has to be a way to make the altenator fit.
