2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo ignition security

I changed the ignition on my monte carlo and the security light turned on and now the car won't start at all. I've tried all the tricks I've read on line and still nothing. I really need some help. It's the wife's car and she needs it for work tomorrow and I can't figure how to fix it
