2000 Chevy Cavalier sunroof

NEED TO CLOSE ONLY! (Sunroof on 2000 Chevy Cavalier). Fuse and switch apparently OK: (motor hums but won't close.)

Dont' want to damage headliner-how much and how to remove only whats necessary.

Can I manually close? (if motor or other components are bad)- and will it stay shut?

ive got the same problem, ive been wonder is there some sort of kit you could seal the roof with?
