I have a 2000 cadillac deville 4.6. A diagnostic from a dealer way out of town said that the rear integration module was bad when we could not get the key out or open trunk etc. Is this something that my husband can replace if he can purchase one. He has fairly good repair skills and prefers fix things himself if possible?

The rear integration module handles everything in the back of the car such as suspension and door lock commands.

This is something the dealer needs to program to the car but the rear Integration Module (RIM)is behind right side of rear seat back. Here is a diagram of where it is located.
