are northstar VIN 9 and VIN Y crankshafts interchangable? if not, can you tell me what VIN a crank with a casting number of 12554681 is? thanks, jim

if both engines are northstars then it may be interchangeable. But the vin Y may be the smaller chevy motor which would not be. the casting number on the crank only relates to the engine number, not the vin.
