i have a 2000 cadillac deville with 123,000 miles base model

12 years old, 123k. recommended change time is 50k.

springs hold a car up and shocks stabalize it. price out a good set of struts and shocks. you will be pleased with the result.

do you have level ride/? u would see the light on the dash when it operates.

Never saw level ride since i had car only here compression pump or compressor come on.the service air bag light came on today.compressor comes on now an then not often??

I also order the front struts today.

My air bag light keeps coming on an going off its been off for one whole day now,could this b because of the shocks/struts?

air bag is a separate system. have the code pulled and get back to us.

as far as the last post, compressor will only run when the rear level is low. otherwisw, it will maintain height for reas only.

The other guy asked me did i have level ride an i dont think i do,but i was wondering why he asked me that an was there going to be some kind of follow up question to that? The air bag light never came back on since my last text an its still not on at this point i thought that the air shocks were also reffered as air bags! anyhow, thanks MUCH!!!!

check the rear struts for air lines going to them and if you see air bags on the struts.

I just see one like line going to a valve stem the line is very flimsy to toach but it is conected to rear shock/srut as for airbags i dont no what that would look like!

NEED SOME HELP! I was driving,my car today 60 miles one way 60 miles back on the way back home my service transmision displayed on the panel. then i notice transmission started jerking when changeing from 1st to 2nd gear, what in the world when i got home i looked for all things an what did i do mabey to make this happen i noticed that as the car cooled the jerk stoped just 1 single jerk when i put in gear from park to drive an when i shift out to 1st an2nd gear. I look at fluid level an it was over full mabey a whole pint to much. I drained that. Also i remember turning off tracktion control. So i ride with it off but it had always bin on since i bought car, an i was useing cruz control most of that ride there an back. I did not turn of cruz until i got into city limits. This is all i can think of i have not drivin the car any more today since drainig to proper level. Please let me no if anyone of these things could have caused my tranny to jerk like it did thanks so much.

their is a line on both them.u do havelevel ride then.look for the height sensor.its in the r/r a square sensor with a arm on it.and a wire connecter.u will see a linkage it hooks to the axle with a linkage.the light not comming on bothers me.first look in the onwers manual and it wtll tell u where the relay is in the relay panel.sometimes its on the r/side lower dash panel.take it down and youll see the relay panel under the glove box.see if the relay is there.because it sounds like some1 removed it.

I see two big fuse that are empty they both are for air pump a an air pump b they are 50amp

is their power on those fuse terminals and there are terminal pins on both sides of the fuse.try replacing them.the compressor and the height sensor should be in the r/r of the car or u dont have it.

When i put them fuses it the car went crazy all lights came on ABS) BRAKE) TRACKTION)AND LOW BATTERY RED LIGHT CAM ON AN NOW IM HAVING A CHARGING ISSUE I AM REACHARGEING THE BATTERY RIGHT NOW?

An yes there is power an terminLs in both fuse when i replaced both the above mentioned happened?

u need to find the sensor and the motor in the r/r suspenion .

What does r/r mean?

An should i take off tire cause i realy cant see anything with the car on ground but once i find sensor then what? An i removed those fuses an all those light that i talked about are still on? Why an why would that affect the altinator?

r/r is right rear youll need to find the compressor and height sensor.........

NOW THE ALTERNATOR IS GONE ITS NOT WORKING CHARGING AS SOON AS I PUT THEM TWO 50AMP FUSES IN MY ALTORNATER BLOWS I CHARGED THE BATTERY WITH A CHARGER THEN TOOK THE TERMINALS OFF CAR WHILE CAR IS RUNNING AN THE CAR SHUT OFF RIGHT AWAY THIS IS A SIGN OF A BLOWED ALTERNATOR CORRECT?

I see this boxs on the body of car not far from shock i took a pick of it but as far as what u esxplained i dont think i see that i dont no but i see that box were the tube from the shock goes in an i see something that may have to do with leave behind the r/r rotor an its got a cable that runs up to that box also. i am very concered about my alternator?

Yea thats it the sensor is behind the r/r rotor with a linkage the is afixed to the axel an the there is a sqeare box type witch i am asuming thats the compressor i am tryin to send a pic of the box.

Hello i dont mean to sound silly but i have left some very important questions on here an had not got any solid answers the last answer i got was to check for compressor an sensor when my question was why would the altornater stop charging when i put those fuses in an all the lights that were on also? bUT I WAS JUST TOLD to check for sensor an compressor with no follow up i cant even go to work because the alternater is not charging? Also i lowerd the transmission fluid an had not had any more problems with it just service transmition is still lighting up? PLEASE HELP?

u where told to check voltages!!!!! you messed u just pluging in fuses!!!i know i have repaired 50 plus level ride sys.the alt. can be rebuilt ez remove it and replace the voltage reg.the diode and the brush holder.then it will be new.i cant remember how many times i fuced up in my cadie carrear.dont beat yourself up.its only going to cost u the price of the 3 parts.later

I did not check relay i never saw a relay i just saw the two fuses that i told u about an in the last posti thought u said try replacing the fuses? it seems that since i took battery post of for a few hrs everything is back working i dont understand check relay when there doesnt seem to be one i did not remove glove box i did look under it an did not see relays i have one fuse box under the hood an one under the back seat,under the hood i have the two air fuses 50amp they were empty thats the ones i replaced an every thing went crazy, i dont understand what steps to take at this point please restate,as of now the fuses are out, thanks again for puttin up with me!

the owners manual will tell u where the relay panel is at.turn the key on.2people sit on the rear bumper.u should hear the compressor turn on and lift the rearend.cadie moved the compressor to the r/r suspenion area by the height sensor.gl

Ok i have to find relay but i allways here the compresor but never get the lift, or i allways here somthing that sounds like air compresor. But like i said never get a lift.but i will find this relay!

spray soapy water on the lines and strut.the struts are bad.the shock bags are leaking and they are not cheap most likly.gl

Man ever since i put them fuses in i had problems the altornater is not charging like it should its fluctuating charge on an off on an off charge just pulled code p0601 memory module malfuntion WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? PLEASE!

does the code clear and reset?is it current or history?

Did not try to reset, the code just appered it wasnt there last week. Only had cadillac coverter codesnan purge valve i fixed the purge valve yesterday,also had alrernator checked by autozone an there is a fluctuation in the charge of the alternator, i had to take it to advance to check codes cause i dont have a machiene an i dont no how to do it on my own with the car dashboard? Should i be worried about this code???
