2000 BMW Z3 Driver's side door cannot be opened from the outside. I can open from inside. Can I replace this on my own? BMW wants $200 to fix and I think I found the part I need for $20. thank you!

You could replace it, yes. But if you take on the repair and then discover that it is beyond your skillset, what then? I am not taunting you, just being straight, hopefully you will be able to repair it, but if not then you might have just saved yourself $200 worth of frustration taking it to be repaired. If fixing BMW automobiles was easy, anyone could do it. Now having said that and if you are still wanting to tackle this on your own, do you have the parts? If so what parts are they?
