I'm trying to locate the under hood post in my car I can not find them can you help me out please, I will try the rod with the screw driver unfortunately my trunk is full. I don't have the original key all I have is a valet key .

Are you looking for the prop rod that holds the hood open? If so, it will either be across the rad support, along the fender, and I have seen them actually mounted on the hood itself.

Let me know if this helps. Also, I'm not sure what you are asking about the trunk and the screw driver

I just realized this is an A8 and not an A4. I don't think your vehicle has a prop rod. It should have a strut assembly that holds the hood open.
